




Clipper asked us to re-brand their business in 2008. We actually confessed to being loyal Twinings fans and were reluctant to do it at first as we don’t believe in working on projects that we wouldn’t consume ourselves. So, we setup and filmed a blind tasting to see whether there was a genuine difference in the product. We couldn’t believe that we all picked Clipper’s black Fairtrade tea over Twinings and agreed to do the job immediately. We started by looking at how we could get across this message about “taste”. We positioned the brand as “natural, fair & delicious” and created packaging that looked as tasty as the teas they contained. The boxes were designed to look fabulous in the home as well as on the supermarket shelf. Five years on the business has been sold again and we continue to help them in their quest to become Britain’s leading brand of naturally, fair and delicious teas and infusions.
