Pev Manners came to us in 2004 looking for a packaging tweak and the poor chap ended up with a full makeover. Thanks to his open-mindedness we were able to work with him on creating a completely fresh brand proposition. We worked closely together and moved it from a brand based on the heritage of a castle to its true roots as a quintessentially English fruit farm. This shift solved a number of issues that were preventing the brand from growing. Most importantly, the repositioning allowed the brand to “breathe” and escape the confines of the castle’s values. The drinks are all beautifully natural, handmade from fresh flowers and no nasty additives. We changed everything to reflect this – the logo, the labels, bottle shape and website all now evoke these natural values. We created a palette of delightful, tasty colours that look as tasty as the drinks themselves. We created a “lovely” promotional campaign that ran across merchandise, social media, digital and sales promotion. The business has grown steadily and is doing very well indeed. It has also reached international markets as far afield as the USA and Middle East.
